Real-Life Monster in a Small Town | SIND #16.1

I am very excited to bring you the Halloween special edition of Satire is Not Dead.  What I’m going to do today is bring you a real crime story that was a very fascinating case that I grew up witnessing and I’m calling this podcast Real-Life Monster in a Small Town.  It was a mass murder that took place in the small town of Lake Arthur Louisiana in 1983. It was really a beautiful old town.   One of the things that I really like in this area is as the sun approaches the horizon you can hear the cicadas chirping, clicking and singing in the trees as the sun goes down and then later you can hear the bullfrogs bellowing their announcement of the coming of night and it was a very much desired place to spend leisure time. Well that would all change in the early 80’s.
